Approximately 500 women each year birth at Papakura Maternity Unit and this includes mothers having first babies.

We also provide care for women who wish to birth in water.

We offer a wealth of experience and a true passion for our work and look forward to caring for you and your baby.

Our goal is to work in partnership with women and their families in the hope the care they receive both enhances and enriches their lives.

We are committed to the safety and well being of women and their baby’s and work closely with other health care professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

We are self employed caseloading midwives (Independent Midwives), dedicated to providing continuity of care.

Each of us offer one to one care and support for women throughout pregnancy, labour and birth and postnatally, with the opportunity to meet the other midwives we work with if they wish.

This means women get the one midwife caring for them throughout their entire experience.
